Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 200 grams
  • Yogurt - 3 tablespoons
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Whole wheat paratha - 2 pieces
  • Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Green bell pepper - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Coriander leaves - a handful, chopped
  • Mint chutney - for serving

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and add it to the marinade, ensuring the chicken is well-coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add the marinated chicken. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, warm the whole wheat parathas in a separate pan until they are soft and pliable.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the heat and set aside.
  6. To assemble the Kathi Rolls, place a paratha on a plate, add a portion of the cooked chicken, and top with sliced onions, green bell peppers, and chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Drizzle with mint chutney and roll the paratha tightly around the filling. Serve immediately.
