Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour - 150 grams
- Boneless chicken breast - 200 grams
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Capsicum (bell pepper) - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Cilantro leaves - a handful, chopped
- Green chili - 1, chopped (optional)
- Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and water to form a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix Greek yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.
- Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and marinate it in the yogurt mixture for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until fully cooked and slightly browned, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil and sauté the sliced onions, capsicum, and green chili until they are soft but still crunchy, about 5 minutes. Mix in the cooked chicken and chopped cilantro. Sprinkle chaat masala on top and mix well.
- Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and roll each part into a thin circle (about 8 inches in diameter). Cook each paratha on a hot tawa or skillet until golden brown on both sides, brushing with a little oil if desired.
- Place the chicken and vegetable filling in the center of each paratha and fold it over to wrap the filling. Serve hot with green chutney or yogurt.
