Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 200 grams
  • Yogurt - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Green chili - 1, slit
  • Cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Mint leaves - a handful, chopped
  • Paratha - 2 pieces

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and place them in a bowl.
  2. Add yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt to the bowl; mix well and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add sliced onion and green chili; sauté until onions are golden brown.
  4. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly charred.
  5. While the chicken is cooking, warm the parathas on a skillet until soft.
  6. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the heat and mix in chopped cilantro and mint leaves.
  7. Place a portion of the chicken mixture on each paratha and roll it up tightly.
  8. Serve the Kathi Kebabs hot with mint chutney or yogurt sauce.
