Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Yogurt - 100 grams
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon, or to taste
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Mint leaves - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Skewers - 4-6 (soaked in water if using wooden skewers)
- Oil - for brushing
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, finely chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, yogurt, garam masala, Kashmiri red chili powder, cumin powder, salt, cilantro, mint leaves, and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Cover the mixture and marinate it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, ensure they have been soaked in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Take the marinated meat mixture and shape it around the skewers, pressing firmly to create evenly shaped kebabs.
- Brush the kebabs lightly with oil and place them on the grill. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kebabs are browned and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
