  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Bell peppers (mixed colors) - 1 cup (diced)
  • Onion - 1 medium (cubed)
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Cut the paneer into 2.5 cm cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt to create the marinade.
  3. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (390°F).
  5. While the grill is heating, chop the bell peppers and onion into similar-sized pieces.
  6. Thread the marinated paneer, bell peppers, and onion onto the skewers, alternating between the ingredients.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
  8. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with mint chutney.
