- Jowar flour - 1 cup
- Wheat flour - 1/4 cup
- Rice flour - 1/4 cup
- Boiled potato - 1 medium, mashed
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Water - as needed
- Oil - for cooking
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine jowar flour, wheat flour, rice flour, mashed potato, chopped onion, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Gradually add water to the mixture and knead it into a soft and pliable dough.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
- On a flat surface, place a ball of dough and flatten it using your fingers or a rolling pin into a round disc, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a tawa or non-stick skillet on medium heat and grease it lightly with oil.
- Cook the thalipeeth on the hot skillet for about 2-3 minutes on one side, until golden brown, then flip it over and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes, adding more oil as needed.
- Remove the thalipeeth from the skillet and repeat with the remaining dough.
- Serve hot with yogurt or chutney.
