- Ragi flour - 200 grams
- Water - 600 ml
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ghee (optional) - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a large saucepan, bring 600 ml of water to a boil and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Once the water is boiling, gradually add 200 grams of ragi flour while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Lower the heat and continue to cook the mixture, stirring it for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.
- Once cooked, remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Grease your hands with a little ghee or water.
- Shape the mixture into round balls (mudde) while it's still warm; make sure not to burn your hands.
- Serve the ragi mudde warm with your favorite curry or lentil soup.
