Ingredients

  • Rice - 1 cup (200g)
  • Water - 3 cups (750ml)
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - for cooking

Steps

  1. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain the soaked rice and place it in a blender.
  3. Add 3 cups of water and salt to the blender and blend until you achieve a smooth, thin batter.
  4. Let the batter rest for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat and lightly grease it with coconut oil.
  6. Stir the batter and pour a ladleful onto the skillet, swirling it to form a thin layer.
  7. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges lift and the dosa is cooked through.
  8. Carefully remove the dosa from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  9. Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
