- Rice - 1 cup (200g)
- Water - 3 cups (750ml)
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coconut oil - for cooking
Steps
- Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain the soaked rice and place it in a blender.
- Add 3 cups of water and salt to the blender and blend until you achieve a smooth, thin batter.
- Let the batter rest for about 10-15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat and lightly grease it with coconut oil.
- Stir the batter and pour a ladleful onto the skillet, swirling it to form a thin layer.
- Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges lift and the dosa is cooked through.
- Carefully remove the dosa from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
