  • Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Urad dal (split black gram) - 1 tablespoon
  • Chana dal (split chickpeas) - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chilies - 1, finely chopped
  • Curry leaves - 10 leaves
  • Peanuts - 2 tablespoons, roasted
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, then add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add urad dal and chana dal, and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in the chopped green chilies and curry leaves, and sauté for another minute.
  4. Add turmeric powder and cooked rice to the pan, mixing well to combine.
  5. Pour in the lemon juice and add salt to taste, mixing everything together.
  6. Finally, fold in the roasted peanuts and chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Serve warm as a delicious and tangy supper.
