- Rice flour - 200 grams
- Water - 150 ml
- Grated carrot - 50 grams
- Chopped onion - 50 grams
- Chopped coriander leaves - 20 grams
- Chopped green chili - 1 small
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoons (for cooking)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, grated carrot, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chili, cumin seeds, and salt.
- Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously until a smooth and thick batter is formed.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or tava over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the skillet and spread it into a round shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Drizzle a little oil around the edges and on top of the roti.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more oil as needed.
- Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
