Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 200 grams
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Grated carrot - 50 grams
  • Chopped onion - 50 grams
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 20 grams
  • Chopped green chili - 1 small
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons (for cooking)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, grated carrot, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chili, cumin seeds, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously until a smooth and thick batter is formed.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or tava over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  4. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the skillet and spread it into a round shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Drizzle a little oil around the edges and on top of the roti.
  6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more oil as needed.
  8. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
