- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Wash the bitter gourd thoroughly and slice it thinly, removing the seeds if desired.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the sliced bitter gourd and let it sit for 10 minutes to reduce bitterness.
- In the meantime, chop the tomato, cucumber, and red onion into small pieces.
- After 10 minutes, rinse the bitter gourd slices under cold water to remove excess salt and bitterness, then drain well.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained bitter gourd, chopped tomato, cucumber, and red onion.
- Add chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and chaat masala to the bowl.
- Toss everything together gently until well mixed. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
