- Tapioca pearls - 200 grams
- Chicken, diced - 150 grams
- Onion, thinly sliced - 1 medium
- Tomato, chopped - 1 medium
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Biryani masala - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Green chilies, slit - 2
- Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Mint leaves, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cooking oil - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 500 ml
Steps
- Soak the tapioca pearls in water for 20 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a pan, heat oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the diced chicken and cook until the chicken is no longer pink.
- Add the chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomato softens.
- Mix in the biryani masala, green chilies, cilantro, and mint leaves, cooking for another 2 minutes.
- Add the soaked tapioca pearls and water, and mix well. Bring to a boil.
- Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low, allowing it to simmer for 15 minutes or until the tapioca is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
