- Tapioca pearls - 200 grams
- Water - 500 ml
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 10 leaves
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Rinse the tapioca pearls under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak them in water for 30 minutes.
- In a pot, bring 500 ml of water to a boil, add the soaked tapioca pearls, and cook for about 10-15 minutes until they are translucent and soft.
- Drain the cooked tapioca and set aside.
- In a separate pan, heat coconut oil over medium heat, then add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add curry leaves and chopped green chili to the pan, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in turmeric powder and salt, then add the cooked tapioca to the pan, mixing well to coat the pearls with the spices.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring gently to combine everything.
- Remove from heat, stir in chopped fresh coriander, and serve hot with coconut chutney.
