- Greek yogurt - 200 grams
- Spinach (chopped) - 50 grams
- Onion (finely chopped) - 50 grams
- Green chili (finely chopped) - 1
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 200 ml
- Oil (for greasing) - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro (for garnish) - a handful
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, chopped spinach, onion, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin, coriander, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring until you have a smooth batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
- In a baking dish, grease the bottom with oil and pour half of the yogurt into it, spreading it evenly.
- Spoon dollops of the chickpea flour batter over the yogurt layer, ensuring even spacing.
- Cover the batter with the remaining yogurt, spreading it evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is slightly golden and firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped cilantro.
- Serve hot with a side of rice or flatbread.
