- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Kadai masala - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves - a handful, chopped
- Lemon - 1, for garnish
Steps
- Heat oil in a kadai or deep pan over medium heat.
- Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the pureed tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Stir in the diced bell pepper and cook for another 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
- Add the prawns and mix well. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until the prawns turn pink and are cooked through.
- Sprinkle the kadai masala and garam masala over the prawns, mixing well to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.
