Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Bell pepper (red) - 1 medium, diced
  • Onion - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro (coriander leaves) - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add diced onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  3. Stir in the grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green chili. Sauté for another minute.
  4. Add diced bell pepper, tomato, and cucumber. Cook for 5-7 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Cut the paneer into cubes and add it to the pan. Gently mix to coat the paneer with the spices and vegetables.
  7. Add garam masala and lemon juice. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the paneer is warmed through.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped cilantro, and let it cool slightly before serving.
