- Bell pepper (red) - 1 medium, diced
- Onion - 1 medium, diced
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro (coriander leaves) - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add diced onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Stir in the grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green chili. Sauté for another minute.
- Add diced bell pepper, tomato, and cucumber. Cook for 5-7 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Cut the paneer into cubes and add it to the pan. Gently mix to coat the paneer with the spices and vegetables.
- Add garam masala and lemon juice. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the paneer is warmed through.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped cilantro, and let it cool slightly before serving.
