Ingredients

  • Lamb leg, boneless - 300 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Oil (for grilling) - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell peppers (mixed colors) - 100 grams, cubed
  • Onion - 1 medium, cubed
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Cut the lamb into 2-inch cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine Greek yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  3. Add the marinade to the bowl with lamb cubes, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for better flavor).
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  5. Thread the marinated lamb, bell peppers, and onion onto skewers, alternating between lamb and vegetables.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked through and has a nice char.
  7. Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
