Ingredients

  • Fish fillet (e.g., salmon or basa) - 300 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Bell pepper (capsicum) - 1 medium, cut into cubes
  • Onion - 1 medium, cut into cubes
  • Coriander leaves - for garnish
  • Oil - for brushing

Steps

  1. Cut the fish fillets into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, and salt to create a marinade.
  3. Add the fish cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. While the fish is marinating, prepare the vegetables by cutting the bell pepper and onion into cubes.
  5. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat, and brush it with oil.
  6. Thread the marinated fish, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers alternately.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until the fish is cooked through and has grill marks.
  8. Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
