- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, chopped
- Tomato - 1 medium, pureed
- Fresh coriander - a handful, chopped
- Green chilies - 1, slit
- Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, and lemon juice. Add the chicken cubes and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add the chopped bell pepper and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
