  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a kadai or deep pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add the diced chicken and cook for about 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken is browned.
  5. Mix in the chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes break down and the oil starts to separate, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Add the diced green bell pepper and garam masala, stirring well to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the bell pepper is slightly tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
