Ingredients

  • Kachoris - 4 pieces
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell peppers (cut into chunks) - 1/2 cup
  • Onion (cut into chunks) - 1/2 cup
  • Skewers - 4 pieces (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, cilantro, and salt to form a marinade.
  2. Cut each kachori in half, and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or BBQ to medium heat.
  4. Thread the marinated kachori halves, bell peppers, and onion onto the skewers, alternating between kachoris and vegetables.
  5. Brush the skewers lightly with oil and place them on the grill.
  6. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kachoris are golden and slightly charred.
  7. Remove from the grill and serve hot with mint chutney or yogurt dip.
