Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 250 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Cilantro (coriander leaves) - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Bread crumbs - 1/4 cup
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Mint chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 2

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced chicken breast, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, green chili, cilantro, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice, bread crumbs, and beaten egg. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Toast the burger buns lightly on the same pan until golden.
  5. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise and mint chutney on the bottom half of each bun. Place a chicken patty on top, followed by slices of tomato and lettuce leaves. Cap it with the top half of the bun.
  6. Serve the Hyderabadi Chicken Burgers hot, accompanied by additional chutney or your favorite side.
