Ingredients

  • Goose meat - 300 grams
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped (optional)
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced goose meat, chopped red onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped cilantro, green chili, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have a nice brown crust.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves as your burger 'buns' by washing and drying them.
  5. Once the patties are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place each patty between two lettuce leaves, and top with slices of tomato and cucumber.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Paleo Indian Goose Burger.
