Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 300 grams
  • All-purpose flour - 4 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
  • Green chilies - 2, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato ketchup - 2 tablespoons
  • Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Red bell pepper - 1, diced
  • Oil - for frying
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Wash and cut the cauliflower into small florets.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, rice flour, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add water gradually to the mixture to form a thick batter.
  4. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat and fry the battered cauliflower until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  6. In another pan, heat a little oil and sauté the chopped green chilies and diced red bell pepper for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the fried cauliflower to the pan and stir in soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, and mix well.
  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
