  • Yogurt (plain) - 100 grams
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - for garnish
  • Water - 200 ml

Steps

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat.

  4. Add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the mixture, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Incorporate the chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides, about 5-10 minutes.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and add the yogurt, stirring well to coat the chicken.
  7. Pour in the water, cover the pan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala over the dish, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
