  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 1/4 cup (60ml)
  • Lemon wedges - 2 (for serving)
  • Fresh cilantro - a handful (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Rinse the trout fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the coconut flour, turmeric, coriander, cumin, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  3. Coat each trout fillet in the coconut flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly covered on both sides.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the coconut oil over medium heat until hot.
  5. Carefully place the coated trout fillets in the skillet and fry for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Once cooked, remove the trout from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
