Ingredients

  • Fish fillet (salmon or tilapia) - 300 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mixed salad greens (spinach, arugula, lettuce) - 100 grams
  • Cucumber (diced) - 1/2 medium
  • Cherry tomatoes (halved) - 100 grams
  • Red onion (thinly sliced) - 1/4 medium
  • Fresh coriander (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Avocado (sliced) - 1/2 medium

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the fish fillet into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Coat well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and brush it with olive oil.
  4. Place the marinated fish pieces on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  5. While the fish is grilling, prepare the salad by combining mixed salad greens, diced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced red onion in a large bowl.
  6. Once the fish is cooked, let it rest for a couple of minutes before adding it to the salad.
  7. Toss the salad gently and top it with fresh coriander and sliced avocado.
  8. Serve immediately, drizzling any extra marinade over the top if desired.
