- Green chili - 1, slit
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cilantro (fresh coriander leaves) - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 1 cup
Steps
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

- Add the fish fillets to the pan, gently coating them with the masala. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the fish is cooked through.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook for an additional 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld.
- Sprinkle garam masala and chopped cilantro over the dish. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
