  • Green chili - 1, slit
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a pot, heat coconut oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chili; sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle in turmeric, coriander, and cumin powder, stirring well to combine with the onion mixture.
  4. Pour in the water and bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Once boiling, reduce the heat and add the coconut milk, stirring to combine.
  6. Add the fish fillets and let them simmer for about 10 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Season with salt and lemon juice, adjusting to taste.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and serve hot.
