Ingredients

  • Fresh fish fillets (like salmon or mackerel) - 200 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Sliced cucumber - 1/2 medium
  • Sliced tomato - 1 medium
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, finely chop the fish fillets and combine with almond flour, egg, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro. Mix well until combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into two patties, ensuring they are compact.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the fish patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger assembly. Take a large lettuce leaf and place a cooked patty on it.
  5. Top the patty with sliced cucumber and tomato, and drizzle with lemon juice.
  6. Wrap the lettuce around the filling to form a burger and serve immediately.
