  • Whole wheat pizza base - 2 pieces (approx. 200g each)
  • Fish fillets (cod or tilapia) - 200g
  • Besan (gram flour) - 50g
  • Rice flour - 25g
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - as needed
  • Mozzarella cheese - 150g
  • Onion (thinly sliced) - 1 small
  • Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Green chilies (sliced) - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - for drizzling

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine besan, rice flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Gradually add water to make a thick batter.
  2. Dip the fish fillets into the batter, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and shallow fry the battered fish until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  5. Place the whole wheat pizza bases on a baking tray and spread a thin layer of olive oil over each base.
  6. Layer the sliced tomatoes and onions evenly over the pizza bases.
  7. Add the fried fish pieces on top of the vegetables.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the fish and vegetables.
  9. Bake the pizzas in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sliced green chilies before serving.
