- Rice flour - 50 grams

- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Water - as needed
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
- Oil (for frying) - 200 ml
Steps
- Clean and pat dry the fish fillets. Cut them into pieces if desired.
- In a bowl, mix gram flour, rice flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt.
- Add water gradually to the mixture to form a smooth, thick batter.
- Coat each piece of fish with the batter, ensuring it is well-covered.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated fish pieces into the oil.
- Fry the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fish from the oil and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges and green chutney.
