Ingredients

  • Baby potatoes - 300 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon (for grilling)
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Wash the baby potatoes thoroughly and boil them in salted water for about 10-12 minutes until they are fork-tender. Drain and let them cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.
  3. Once the potatoes are cool enough to handle, prick them all over with a fork to allow the marinade to penetrate.
  4. Add the boiled potatoes to the marinade and coat them well. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer for more flavor.
  5. Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat. Drizzle oil over the grilling surface.
  6. Thread the marinated potatoes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each potato.
  7. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the potatoes are golden and slightly charred.
  8. Remove from the grill and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with mint chutney or yogurt dip.
