Ingredients
- Rice flour - 100 grams
- Water - 200 ml
- Salt - a pinch
- Milk - 500 ml
- Sugar - 100 grams
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
- Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, water, and a pinch of salt to form a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into small balls or dumplings.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and gently add the dumplings. Cook until they float to the surface, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain.
- In another pot, bring milk to a boil and add sugar. Stir until dissolved and then add cardamom powder.
- Add the cooked dumplings to the sweetened milk and let them simmer for 5-10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- In a small pan, heat ghee and sauté the chopped nuts until golden. Add them to the Doodh Puli before serving.
