Ingredients

  • Puri (small crispy shells) - 10 pieces
  • Chickpeas (cooked) - 100 grams
  • Red onion (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Yogurt (plain, Kosher) - 150 grams
  • Tamarind chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Mint chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Sev (crispy chickpea noodles) - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the cooked chickpeas, chopped red onion, coriander leaves, cumin powder, chaat masala, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth. Adjust the seasoning with salt if necessary.
  3. To assemble, take a puri and carefully break the top to create a small opening. Fill it with the chickpea mixture until just full.
  4. Place each filled puri into a shot glass for support. Repeat until all puris are filled.
  5. Top each puri with a dollop of yogurt, followed by a drizzle of tamarind and mint chutney.
  6. Sprinkle sev on top for added crunch.
