Ingredients

  • Hung curd - 200 grams
  • Paneer (cottage cheese) - 100 grams, grated
  • Besan (gram flour) - 2 tablespoons
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Oil - for shallow frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine hung curd, grated paneer, and besan until smooth.
  2. Add chopped green chili, grated ginger, minced garlic, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and chopped coriander leaves to the mixture.
  3. Mix all the ingredients well until they form a consistent dough-like mixture.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes to firm it up slightly.
  5. Once chilled, divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small patties or kebabs.
  6. Heat oil in a shallow frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Carefully place the kebabs in the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Remove the kebabs from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with mint chutney or yogurt dip.
