Ingredients

  • Okra - 200 grams
  • Plain yogurt - 150 grams
  • Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Regular salt - to taste
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Wash the okra thoroughly and pat dry. Trim the edges and cut them into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add the chopped okra. Sauté for about 10 minutes until they are cooked and slightly crispy. Remove from heat and let them cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, chopped tomato, diced cucumber, finely chopped onion, green chili, and coriander leaves.
  4. Add cumin powder, black salt, regular salt, and lemon juice to the yogurt mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  5. Once the okra has cooled down, gently fold it into the yogurt mixture. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving for a refreshing taste.
