- fresh grated coconut - 50 grams
- chickpea flour (besan) - 40 grams
- jaggery (grated) - 30 grams
- yogurt - 100 grams
- cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- water - 150 milliliters
- salt - a pinch
- coriander leaves (for garnish) - 10 grams
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated coconut, chickpea flour, jaggery, yogurt, cardamom powder, baking powder, salt, and water. Mix well until you have a smooth batter.
- Preheat a steamer or a pot with water for steaming.
- Grease two ramekins or small bowls with a little oil and pour the batter evenly into them.
- Once the water in the steamer is boiling, place the ramekins in the steamer basket and cover with a lid.
- Steam the puddings for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the steamer and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
