  • Jaggery, grated - 50 grams
  • Ghee (or coconut oil for dairy-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds) - 2 tablespoons
  • Raisins - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1/4 cup

Steps

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the ghee (or coconut oil).
  2. Once the ghee is melted, add the whole wheat flour and roast it until it turns golden brown and aromatic, stirring continuously for about 8-10 minutes.
  3. In a separate pot, combine grated jaggery and water, and heat it gently until the jaggery dissolves completely, creating a syrup.
  4. Add the cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and raisins to the roasted flour mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually pour the jaggery syrup into the flour mixture, stirring continuously until it comes together.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, then grease your palms with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small round balls (ladoo).
  7. Place the churma ladoos on a plate to cool completely before serving.
