Churma Ladoo

- Whole wheat flour - 100 grams
- Jaggery, grated - 50 grams
- Ghee (or coconut oil for dairy-free) - 2 tablespoons
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds) - 2 tablespoons
- Raisins - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1/4 cup
Steps
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add the ghee (or coconut oil).
- Once the ghee is melted, add the whole wheat flour and roast it until it turns golden brown and aromatic, stirring continuously for about 8-10 minutes.
- In a separate pot, combine grated jaggery and water, and heat it gently until the jaggery dissolves completely, creating a syrup.
- Add the cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and raisins to the roasted flour mixture and mix well.
- Gradually pour the jaggery syrup into the flour mixture, stirring continuously until it comes together.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, then grease your palms with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small round balls (ladoo).
- Place the churma ladoos on a plate to cool completely before serving.
