- Semolina - 100 grams
- Water - 400 ml
- Carrot - 1 medium, diced
- Green beans - 50 grams, chopped
- Peas - 50 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chili - 1, slit
- Coriander leaves - a handful, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add cumin seeds, chopped onion, and grated ginger to the pan. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the diced carrot, chopped green beans, peas, and slit green chili. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add turmeric powder and salt to the vegetable mixture, and stir well.
- Pour in 400 ml of water and bring it to a boil.
- Once boiling, slowly add 100 grams of semolina, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens and the semolina is cooked through.
- Turn off the heat, add chopped coriander leaves, and mix well before serving.
