  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon

  • Pizza base (whole wheat) - 2
  • Cheese (mozzarella or paneer, grated) - 1 cup
  • Cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter (optional) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped onions. Sauté until they are translucent.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chili, and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the pureed tomato, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the cooked chickpeas and garam masala to the pan. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Remove from heat.
  5. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  6. Spread the chickpea mixture evenly over each pizza base, leaving some space at the edges.
  7. Sprinkle the grated cheese generously over the chickpea layer.
  8. Place the pizzas on a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped cilantro, and drizzle with melted butter if desired.
  10. Slice and serve hot with a side of yogurt or green chutney.
