Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt, and olive oil to create a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
  3. Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
