  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, chopped
  • Red onion - 1 medium, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, turmeric powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the drained chickpeas to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Allow the mixture to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).
  4. While the grill is heating, thread the marinated chickpeas, bell pepper, and red onion onto skewers, alternating ingredients for a colorful presentation.
  5. Brush the skewers lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven, cooking for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chickpeas are slightly charred and heated through.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve hot with lemon wedges.
