- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 10 leaves
- Green chili (finely chopped) - 1 small
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil (coconut or vegetable) - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and add the mustard seeds. Allow them to splutter.
- Add the curry leaves and chopped green chili to the pan and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the cooked chickpeas, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and mix in the freshly grated coconut and lemon juice.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve warm.
