- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Tomato puree - 200 grams
- Coconut cream - 100 ml
- Fresh coriander - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and salt to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, coat well, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, and add it to the skillet. Cook until the chicken is browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato puree and bring to a simmer. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the coconut cream. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or naan.
