Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 300 grams
- Greek yogurt - 100 grams
- Garam masala - 1 tablespoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Mint yogurt sauce - 100 grams (store-bought or homemade)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Cut the chicken breast into burger-sized fillets and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for more flavor).
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and grill marks appear.
- While the chicken is cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.
- Once the chicken is cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Top with the grilled chicken, sliced tomatoes, onions, and a dollop of mint yogurt sauce.
- Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top and close the burgers with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.
