Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Garam masala - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Onion - 1, sliced
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Mint yogurt sauce - 100 grams (store-bought or homemade)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into burger-sized fillets and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for more flavor).
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and grill marks appear.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Top with the grilled chicken, sliced tomatoes, onions, and a dollop of mint yogurt sauce.
  6. Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top and close the burgers with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.
