Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Greek yogurt - 150 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) - 1 teaspoon
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, green chili paste, salt, black pepper, and kasuri methi. Mix well to create a smooth marinade.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-3 hours for better flavor.
  4. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving some space between each piece.
  6. Brush the skewers with melted butter before placing them on the grill or in the oven.
  7. Grill the chicken for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  8. Once done, remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
