- Fresh chenna - 200 grams
- Milk - 500 ml
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cashews - 10 grams
- Raisins - 10 grams
- Ghee - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a pan, heat the milk on medium flame and bring it to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer until it reduces to about half its volume, stirring occasionally.
- Add the sugar and cardamom powder to the reduced milk, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
- In a separate pan, heat the ghee and lightly fry the cashews and raisins until golden brown.
- Crumble the fresh chenna into the milk mixture and stir gently to combine.
- Add the fried cashews and raisins to the chenna payesh, and stir well.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Serve warm or chilled, garnished with a few extra cashews or raisins if desired.
