- Cilantro (coriander leaves) - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
- Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black salt - a pinch
- Pomegranate seeds - 2 tablespoons (optional)
- Sev (crispy noodles) - for garnish (optional)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chickpeas, chopped red onion, diced tomato, diced cucumber, and finely chopped green chili.
- Add the chopped cilantro, lemon juice, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, salt, and black salt to the bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients well until evenly coated with the spices and lemon juice.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. If using, gently fold in the pomegranate seeds.
- Let the chaat sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve in bowls, garnished with sev on top for added crunch.
