- Canned chickpeas - 200 grams
- Boiled potatoes - 1 medium (about 150 grams)
- Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Green chutney - 2 tablespoons
- Tamarind chutney - 2 tablespoons
- Sev (crispy chickpea noodles) - 30 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 small, finely chopped
Steps
- Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water. Set aside.
- Peel and dice the boiled potato into small cubes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas, diced potatoes, chaat masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, salt, chopped onion, and chopped tomato. Mix well.
- Drizzle lemon juice over the mixture and toss gently to combine all the flavors.
- Add the fresh coriander leaves and mix again.
- On serving plates, create a base layer of the chickpea and potato mixture.
- Drizzle green chutney and tamarind chutney generously over the top.
- Sprinkle sev over the chaat for added crunch and texture.
